Hawaii Civil Rights Commission

The Hawaii Civil Rights Commission ensures the protection of civil rights in Hawaii . Article I, Section 5 of the Hawaii Constitution provides that “no person shall be denied the enjoyment of civil rights or be discriminated against in the exercise thereof because of race, religion, sex or ancestry.”

Hawaii Crime Victim Compensation

The Hawaii Crime Victim Compensation Commission provides compensation to victims of violent crimes for their crime-related injuries and losses, and to "Good Samaritans" for injuries or property damage suffered in the prevention of a crime or apprehension of a criminal.
